I remembered the shop when it opened when I was a schoolgirl..and I shopped there from time to time until adulthood. Derek was always so warm and helpful towards me, going out of his way to look for specific items for different ailments..and read through ingredients. I no longer live in Blackheath, but went to Well Bean today specifically to buy something - and was shocked and saddened to read the notes on the shutters :( May he rest in peace.
